HUE - Hue City Police discovered vehicles carrying goods and wood of unknown origin.

On August 20, the Traffic Police Department of Hue City Police said that through patrolling and controlling, the unit discovered many cases of transporting goods of unknown origin.

At 3:00 p.m. on August 17, at Km32 of the Ho Chi Minh Highway (La Son - Tuy Loan Expressway section), the Phu Loc Traffic Police Station Patrol Team led by Lieutenant Colonel Ho Chi Tuan Anh stopped to check the car with license plate 49H-020.XX. The vehicle carrying nearly 30 tons of white sugar (600 sacks) was discovered, worth about 600 million VND. Driver Pham Tan T (born in 1993, residing in Gia Lai) could not present documents proving the origin of the goods.

The working group made a record, handed over the people, vehicles and exhibits to the Economic Police Department for further handling.

Previously, on August 11, Phu Loc Traffic Police Station coordinated with the Economic Police Department to stop a truck with license plate 81H-032.XX driven by Nguyen Tat N. (born in 1996, residing in Gia Lai), discovering that he was transporting 7 types of wood and 11 round wood blocks of unknown type. The vehicle owner could not present valid forest product records.

Currently, the case is being further verified and handled according to regulations.
