On September 15, according to Hung Yen Provincial Police, through professional measures, Tra Ly Ward Police discovered Tran Trung Hieu (born in 1999, residing in Group 4, Tra Ly Ward) registering for an account and participating in money-inning and losing betting on the internet. The amount of money Hieu used to gamble was determined to be about 22 million VND.
Based on the collected documents and evidence, the Investigation Police Agency of Hung Yen Provincial Police issued a Decision to prosecute the criminal case, prosecute the accused and issue an order to temporarily detain Tran Trung Hieu for the crime of gambling under Clause 2, Article 321 of the Penal Code.
In Dong Hung commune, the commune police discovered citizen Bui Van Thang (born in 1999, residing in Thuan Tuy village, Dong Hung commune, Hung Yen province) using a mobile phone to participate in online gambling in the form of shaking the board and gambling.
The investigation determined that Thang had deposited a total of 15 million VND into his account and used all of the above money to bet on 6 games, then lost all. The commune police are consolidating records and documents to prosecute the case and prosecute the accused according to regulations.
The above cases show that the situation of online gambling is still complicated, especially among young people. Hung Yen Provincial Police recommends that people raise awareness, absolutely do not participate in forms of betting, games with disguised rewards online, contributing to maintaining security, order and social safety.
