Hung Yen Police search for victims of online fraud

Hung Yen - The Investigation Police Agency of the Provincial Police announced the search for victims in the fraud case of appropriating property through social networks.

The Investigation Police Agency of Hung Yen Province Police is investigating a case of Fraudulent appropriation of property that occurred on the internet in August 2025. The case has defendant Dao Anh Dung (born on May 23, 2007, permanent residence in Tay Bac quarter, Yen Thuy commune, Phu Tho province) being detained and prosecuted under Clause 1, Article 174 of the Penal Code.

Initial investigation results show that, due to not having a stable job and needing money to spend, from 2023 to present, Dao Anh Dung has created Facebook accounts named "Anh Dung" and "Hoa Lan tim". After that, Dung downloaded photos and videos of items such as golf clubs, beehives, bonsai ornamental plants... to post for sale.

When someone asked to buy, Dung sent the Techcombank bank account number 2266335588 and MBBank 8664333338386 (both under the original name of owner Dao Anh Dung) for the buyer to transfer money. After receiving the money, Dung did not send the goods but blocked contact via Facebook, Zalo, or phone, appropriating the entire amount.
