On the afternoon of June 10, in Ha Tien City, Kien Giang Provincial Police had a working session with the Police of Kam Pot, Kep, Preah Sihanouk - Kingdom of Cambodia to discuss and agree on the contents of organizing a conference to review the first 6 months of 2025 to implement the Minutes of cooperation in security protection and border maintenance.
At the meeting, the two sides focused on discussing and agreeing on the time and location for the preliminary conference; the content of the assessment of the results of coordination in protecting security and order in border areas in the first 6 months of the year and setting out key directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2025. Issues such as preventing and combating cross-border crimes, smuggling, drugs, protecting the safety of border areas and facilitating trade between the two countries were thoroughly discussed.
Speaking at the meeting, Colonel Dao Hai Dang, Deputy Director of Kien Giang Provincial Police, thanked the close coordination of the police forces of the provinces under the Kingdom of Cambodia in protecting security in border areas. At the same time, it affirmed its determination to continue to maintain and promote the friendship and effective cooperation in security protection and border order in the coming time.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of friendship and cooperation, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and attachment between the Kien Giang Provincial Police and the Police of the bordering provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia in the work of protecting security, maintaining order in the border area, contributing to building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and sustainable border.
