Ms. Ong Thuy Hoang Mai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Trade Union of Binh Duong said, as the new school year is about to begin, how to have enough textbooks, clothing for their children is always a concern for parents workers who are facing difficulties. Over the past few years, the Provincial Trade Union has directed the levels of trade unions to mobilize various agencies, units, businesses, and charitable individuals to join hands in supporting with practical and meaningful actions to help children have a stable point to strive for.
Over the past 27 years, thousands of students who are children of workers and civil servants poor laborers in the province have received support from various agencies, units, businesses, and benevolent individuals, especially P&G Company.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented 150 gifts to 150 students with difficult circumstances, including VND 1.5 million in cash per student and a gift from P&G Vietnam Company, which is a learning tool.
The Provincial Trade Union said that this is the 28th year that this company has accompanied the program to present scholarships to "spread the wings of dreams" for children of poor laborers in the province. In 2024, in addition to students with good academic achievements, children of workers who are orphans or have lost their mothers due to COVID-19 will also be proposed by the Provincial Trade Union to receive scholarships from the company, helping them to have the opportunity to overcome in their studies.
In addition to the above program, the levels of trade unions will continue to review cases of children of workers who are facing difficulties. The Provincial Trade Union of Binh Duong will continue to mobilize books, stationery, and learning tools to support parents who are workers to ensure that their children can attend school and study adequately.
