On September 2, dozens of garbage collection and scanning teams of Hue Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company were still present on the roads, parks, residential areas and traditional markets from early morning to late evening. This is a peak period of ensuring environmental sanitation to serve the 80th Anniversary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Hue Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company said that the company has mobilized maximum human resources and means, and divided shifts appropriately to ensure that there is no garbage stagnation during the holidays. The total amount of waste collected during the 3 peak days (from 1 to 3.9) is expected to increase by about 20 - 30% compared to normal days.
On time for the holiday, the amount of garbage often increases by one and a half times, sometimes twice as much as usual, because people go out and do business a lot. I just hope everyone is more aware and not littering to make it less difficult for the workers, said Ms. Le Thi Kim Anh (a cleaning worker in Group 1, working in the Kim Long Street area).
Along with that, the cleaning workers also coordinated with wards, residential groups and functional units to propagate people to maintain hygiene in public places, dump garbage at the right time and place.
