On November 7, at Amara Vietnam Shoe Company Limited (Co Le town, Truc Ninh district), Nam Dinh province organized a provincial-level firefighting and rescue drill. Mobilizing many forces and vehicles with 642 members and 1,000 workers participating in the drill.
Nam Dinh is the first province nationwide to proactively register and be selected by the Ministry of Public Security to pilot the model of "Provincial Fire Prevention and Fighting Safety" (PCCC) in 2024. To effectively implement this model, Nam Dinh province has been implementing many creative and practical solutions and methods to promote the role of the people, especially the grassroots fire prevention and fighting force in fire prevention and fighting work.
In the hypothetical situation of a fire caused by an electrical short circuit in the finished product warehouse area on the 2nd floor of the 4-storey mixed-use building of Amara Vietnam Shoe Company Limited with an area of about 2,000m2. The warehouse contains hundreds of tons of raw materials and finished products for the sports shoe and cardboard industries.
The fire developed rapidly and emitted toxic smoke, trapping 20 workers and on-site firefighters. The professional firefighting force of Nam Dinh Provincial Police, together with on-site firefighters of the company, local residents, armed forces, Truc Ninh district authorities and a number of departments and branches in the province, coordinated to organize firefighting and conduct search and rescue activities, rescue people, save property, and extinguish the fire.

The drill plan mobilizing many forces and means received high appreciation from the leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Ministry of Public Security; leaders of departments, branches, and localities in the province; leaders of police units in the province and leaders of the police of Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, and Thai Binh provinces attending the drill.
Also at the ceremony, representatives of Amara Vietnam Shoe Company presented 2,000 fire extinguishers to workers.
