Traffic police recommend drivers to travel on Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway

According to the Traffic Police Department, there are currently many acts of unsafe traffic on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway, which can easily lead to the risk of accidents.

To ensure traffic safety, the Highway Traffic Police Team No. 1 - Traffic Police Department recommends that vehicle owners and drivers when participating in traffic on the Noi card - Lao Cai expressway comply with regulations when entering and exiting the expressway; changing lanes must have a warning signal; absolutely do not use alcohol, beer or stimulants when driving.

For the expressway section with two lanes running in the same direction, passenger cars with 29 seats, trucks with a load capacity of over 7.5 tons or more enter the right lane in the direction of travel of the vehicle (no vehicles are controlled in the lane adjacent to the median strip).

Strictly comply with regulations on: speed, road part, lane; keep a safe distance from vehicles running immediately; do not drive vehicles running in the emergency lane of the expressway; give way to priority vehicles that are signaling priority to go on duty.

Do not drive in the wrong direction, reverse the vehicle, or turn around on the highway; Do not stop, park, pick up or drop off passengers on the highway, or carry more people than the prescribed number.

Require drivers to wear seat belts while driving on the road; Do not use a hand-held phone or other electronic devices while driving a vehicle on the road.

Strictly comply with regulations on height, width and load for cargo vehicles; do not drop goods on the road.

When a vehicle incident occurs, quickly move the vehicle into the emergency lane or close to the right lane, placing a warning behind the vehicle at least 150m away.

Previously, through analysis of more than 2,000 photos from surveillance cameras located at Km20 of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway, the Traffic Police discovered 350 cases of drivers not wearing seat belts.

Currently, the authorities have sent a notice to the vehicle owner for handling. For the failure to tie a seat belt, drivers will be fined from 800,000 - 1,000,000 VND.
