Kien Giang - The conference aims to enhance coordination and mutual learning between Detention Camp units on the work of temporary detention, temporary imprisonment, and execution of prison sentences.

On December 13, in Ha Tien City (Kien Giang Province), the Detention Camp Cluster of 11 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region, with Kien Giang Police Detention Camp as the Cluster Leader, held a conference to exchange professional skills in the work of temporary detention, temporary imprisonment, execution of prison sentences, and Party building and building the Detention Camp force for the period 2023 - 2024.

The conference was held with the aim of enhancing coordination and mutual learning between the Detention Camp units of the Public Security of provinces and cities in the region on the work of temporary detention, temporary imprisonment, and execution of prison sentences. This is also an opportunity to discuss and propose solutions to strengthen and build the Detention Camp force to meet the requirements and tasks in the new period.

The conference also particularly emphasized the role of Party building and building a force of cadres and soldiers with steadfast political qualities, professional expertise and professional ethics.

At the conference, delegates focused on exchanging practical experiences in detention, temporary detention and execution of prison sentences, including management, education and rehabilitation of prisoners; difficulties in facilities, working means as well as the application of technology in management and supervision of prisoners...

The conference acknowledged many important contributions from leaders of provincial detention camps, clarifying further measures to improve the effectiveness of detention, temporary detention and execution of prison sentences. Unifying the application of information technology and enhancing training and development of staff are key factors to successfully complete tasks in the coming period.
