On the morning of September 9, ship 471 of the Naval Region 4 Command provided food, fresh water and essential supplies to fishermen on fishing boat numbered QN 96615 TS in the Truong Sa fishing ground.
Previously, on September 9, the ship QN 96615 TS, captained by Mr. Duong Oanh (born in 1972, residing in Ly Son district, Quang Ngai), ran out of food and fresh water while fishing in the waters around Phan Vinh island, Truong Sa archipelago.
At this time, there were 14 fishermen from Quang Ngai on board.
QN 96615 TS diving ship departed from An Hai fishing port, Ly Son, Quang Ngai on July 1.
After about 2 months of fishing, the Quang Ngai fishing boat ran out of food.
Upon receiving the news, ship 471 of Navy Region 4 supported the Quang Ngai fishing boat with 2,000 liters of fresh water, rice, instant noodles, vegetables, spices and some other essential items.
Officers and soldiers of ship 471 also visited, encouraged, and guided fishermen in fishing and exploiting seafood at sea, as well as provided support and assistance in all aspects when needed so that fishermen could confidently go out to sea and stick to the sea.
