Da Nang has more than 852 cooperatives in operation

Vice Chairman in charge of the Cooperative Union of Da Nang City Doan Ngoc Trung - said that the whole city currently has 852 cooperatives and 3,252 cooperative groups in operation.

On October 16, the Da Nang Cooperative Alliance held the first Executive Committee Conference for the 2020-2025 term under the chairmanship of Vice President in charge of the Da Nang Cooperative Alliance (HTX) Doan Ngoc Trung.

The conference was held to implement the merger of the Quang Nam Provincial Cooperative Union and the Da Nang City Cooperative Union (old), into the Da Nang City Cooperative Union.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Tran Nam Hung - affirmed that this conference is of special significance, marking a new turning point in the development of the city's collective economic sector, when the Da Nang Cooperative Alliance officially merged with the Cooperative Alliance of Quang Nam province.

This is not only about organizing the apparatus, but also demonstrates the determination to innovate, streamline, operate effectively, towards the goal of sustainable, modern and integrated collective economic development.

The Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee also praised the outstanding results of the Cooperative Union in recent times. Propose to urgently complete the organizational and personnel structure, ensure stable and smooth operations; prepare well for the new term Congress, focus on building a work program for 2026 in the direction of innovation and creativity.

At the conference, Vice President in charge of the Da Nang Cooperative Union Doan Ngoc Trung - said that the whole city currently has 852 cooperatives and 3,252 cooperative groups in operation, creating jobs for more than 19,000 workers.

Many cooperatives have proactively innovated management methods, expanded production, applied technology, transformed digitally, built brands, typical examples such as agricultural, service, commercial, transportation, credit and 3-4 star OCOP products.

The Cooperative Union has also supported, advised and guided cooperatives to access policies and implement target programs with a total cost of nearly VND2 billion; Dedicated nearly VND16.5 billion from the Cooperative Development Support Fund to 39 units to borrow capital to expand production and business.

Exciting trade promotion activities, with dozens of cooperatives participating in fairs, connecting supply and demand inside and outside the province, especially the first cooperative product fair - Da Nang 2025, have also attracted more than 500 regional products.
