On October 16, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong chaired a meeting with the Trade Advisory Delegation of the European Union and countries in the European Union.
Mr. Ulrich Weigl - Ambassador to Vietnam, European Union Delegation to Vietnam as Head of the delegation, visited and discussed the city's leaders and policies.
At the reception, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong welcomed Mr. Ulrich Weigl - Ambassador, European Union Delegation to Vietnam and members of the working delegation to visit and work in the city.
At the same time, they highly appreciated the significance of this visit when in November this year, Vietnam and the European Union (EU) celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (November 28, 1990 - November 28, 2025).
According to Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong, Vietnam and the EU currently have a close relationship and cooperation in many fields.

Da Nang City has signed cooperation agreements with 13 localities in 9 EU member states and 22 EU FDI projects registered to invest in the city, in addition to non-governmental aid projects.
Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong also informed the delegation about the new city with new space, new development momentum and many advantages, outstanding special policies and mechanisms.
Currently, Da Nang City has been chosen as the place to establish the Vietnam International Financial Center (IFC) and the Free Trade Zone (FTZ). Therefore, attracting investors to invest, operate, and train human resources is extremely important.
Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong emphasized that Da Nang City always appreciates the support of the EU and member countries for the city's development. At the same time, it is expected that in the coming time, the relationship and cooperation between Da Nang and the EU and member countries will continue to develop.
