On June 10, the Da Nang Department of Construction issued Notice No. 4948/TB-SXD inviting investors and domestic waterway transport business units to pay attention to investing in luxury vehicles, modernising inland waterway tourism transport activities.
Conditions for newly manufactured investment vehicles participating in passenger transport business activities in Da Nang City are implemented according to the provisions of Decision 3273/QD-UBND dated December 19, 2022 of the People's Committee of Da Nang City promulgating a plan to develop inland waterway passenger transport in the area until 2025, with a vision to 2030.
The Da Nang Department of Construction recommends that investors and domestic waterway passenger transport business units pay attention to developing a business plan and send it to the Department of Construction for inspection and reporting to the Da Nang City People's Committee (according to Clause 1.2, Section III of the plan for developing inland waterway passenger transport in Da Nang City until 2025, with a vision to 2030 issued in Decision 3273/QD-UBND dated December 19, 2022 of the Da Nang City People's Committee).
The business plan needs to clearly state the type of transport business (according to Decree 110/2014/ND-CP dated November 20, 2024 of the Government, amended and supplemented by Decree 128/2018/NDCP dated September 24, 2018); scope of operation of vehicles; vehicle anchorage plan; departure port, starting and final destination;
Time to implement investment in building new vehicles; general explanation of vehicles ( materials, vehicle allocation, total engine capacity, basic size, vehicle photos - 3D coordinates); agreed in writing or under contract with the port management unit, inland waterway wharf for vehicles to pick up and drop off passengers.
After the investor and the transport business unit ensure the conditions in step 1 mentioned above, the Da Nang Department of Construction will take the second step of reporting and proposing to the City People's Committee to consider and agree on the policy.
Step 3, investors and transport business units will deploy vehicle investment, install equipment and carry out related procedures for registration, registration, and limitation of crew members according to current regulations and send the application for granting signs and badges for inland waterway passenger transport to the Department of Construction of Da Nang according to regulations.
