Da Nang discovers facility illegally selling wild birds

Da Nang - 65 wild birds were illegally traded and immediately temporarily detained and released all the birds back into the wild.

On December 11, Da Nang City Police said that on December 9, the Department of Investigation Police on Corruption, Economic Crimes, Smuggling, and Environment, Da Nang City Police said that it had just coordinated with the City Forest Protection Force to inspect a business household on Nguyen Huu Tho Street in Hoa Cuong Ward.

Here, the authorities discovered that the facility was illegally trading a large quantity of wild birds.

At the time of inspection, the working group seized 65 birds of all kinds, including: 17 Lao Phap birds, 44 Ring Road birds (common species) and 4 Red-crowned Red-crowned Cranes ( species belonging to Rare Group IIB). Everyone is living normally. Through the investigation, the owner of the facility could not present any documents or papers proving the legal origin of the above-mentioned birds.

The authorities have drawn up a record of the incident, temporarily detained all exhibits for investigation, verification and handling according to the provisions of law. By December 10, the Mobile Forest Protection Team and Forest Fire Department No. 2 had organized the release of all 65 wild birds to the natural environment in the acacia forest area of Lam Tay village, Ha Nha commune, Da Nang city.
