By the afternoon of September 8, many political and social organizations and people of Da Nang were ready to support localities affected by storm No. 3.

Dozens of volunteers in Da Nang City have registered and are ready to go to support localities affected by recent storms and floods.

Mr. Le Cong Hung - Deputy Secretary in charge of the Da Nang City Youth Union said: "The City Youth Union is mobilizing 10 volunteers from each district to go to Hai Phong City to support damage recovery."

According to Mr. Hung, volunteers in Da Nang localities are ready to go when they have enough information and connection conditions. The enemy only needs help to immediately support localities affected by storms in the northern provinces - especially the two localities of Hai Phong and Quang Ninh.

"We have contacted Hai Phong City to coordinate implementation," said Mr. Le Cong Hung.

In Hai Chau district, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hai Chau district, informed that volunteers of Hai Chau district are ready to go to help overcome damage after storms in Hai Phong city.

"By tomorrow afternoon (September 9) at the latest, the volunteers will leave for Hai Phong City," said Mr. Phong.

In addition, Mr. Phong also shared that Hai Chau district is also mobilizing resources to support localities affected by storms and floods.

Previously, right after the storm passed, many people and leaders of Da Nang City expressed their concerns and sympathies with the people in the flood-hit areas. Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Committee, said that she immediately contacted the departments under her charge to discuss and support solutions for other localities. "We are very worried and anxious for other localities, because Da Nang City and the Central provinces have suffered from natural disasters and devastating floods, so we understand the difficulties after the storm and floods come. Therefore, departments, leaders in Da Nang have contacted the affected localities - especially the sister city of Hai Phong to grasp the situation, survey the needs... With the spirit of being ready to support both human resources and experience... for localities to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

Previously, storm No. 3 caused severe consequences in the northern provinces, in which Hai Phong city and Quang Ninh were the first two localities to suffer from storm No. 3 with the most severe destruction before making landfall deep inland.

Most of the roads and streets had broken trees, lights, traffic signals, signs, and flooded communication lines, causing serious congestion, traffic activities were delayed and interrupted...

Many houses, offices, businesses, warehouses, factories, and livestock farms were damaged, with roofs blown off and electric poles broken. Many schools and medical facilities were damaged and seriously affected...

All the encouragement and help from the people of the whole country is necessary at this time.
