On the morning of February 21, at the Conference on disseminating and guiding the implementation of specific policies on science, technology and innovation, Ms. Le Thi Thuc, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City, said that the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City is currently assigned by the city to develop an action program and plan to implement Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.
"The People's Council of Da Nang City has announced the establishment of a new Department of Science and Technology on the basis of merging the Department of Science and Technology with the Department of Information and Communications. Therefore, the content and policies for implementing Resolution 136 do not only have 4 resolutions. Instead, there will be resolutions related to the fields, semiconductor microchips, and artificial intelligence. Thus, there will be 7 resolutions on the field of science, technology and innovation," said Ms. Le Thi Thuc.
The Department of Science and Technology also hopes that organizations, individuals and businesses will have a firm grasp of specific regulations and procedures. From there, it is possible to make the most of the city's policies in the process of implementing research, development and innovation activities.
According to the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City, this Conference on disseminating and guiding the implementation of specific policies on science, technology and innovation will focus on introducing, disseminating and guiding specific regulations and procedures, and document components of 4 specific policies on science, technology and innovation, including:
Resolution No. 53 on regulations on priority areas, criteria, conditions, procedures for innovation start-up activities, and innovation start-up support activities are exempt from tax in the city.
Resolution No. 54 on regulations on the order, procedures, conditions, quantity, content and level of non-refundable support from the state budget to develop creative startup projects in Da Nang city.
Resolution No. 55 on detailed regulations on criteria, conditions for selection and procedures for registration, appraisal, and licensing of testing with control of new technological solutions in Da Nang city.
Resolution No. 56 stipulates the exploitation, allocation, handling and support for funding for the use of scientific and technological infrastructure assets in Da Nang city.
