With the desire to create a more beautiful beach landscape as well as add more green to the beach space, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City directed the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches to deploy the work of calling and mobilizing agencies, organizations, businesses and people in Da Nang City to join hands to contribute coconut trees to plant at Da Nang tourist beaches. This is an activity to contribute to the formation of a lively and attractive landscape to serve people and tourists, minimize the impact of climate change, limit coastal erosion and landslides.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Vu, Head of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches, said that after 1 month of implementation, the Management Board has received nearly 700 coconut trees out of a total of 3,497 coconut trees planned to be planted on the beach from more than 40 organizations, agencies, businesses and individuals living and working in Da Nang City.
According to the plan, the time to organize coconut planting on the two coastal routes Hoang Sa - Vo Nguyen Giap - Hoang Sa and Nguyen Tat Thanh route is divided into 2 phases, including: phase 1 from December 2024 to the end of the first quarter of 2025 and phase 2 from April 2025 to the end of the third quarter of 2025.
Currently, the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches is carrying out the first batch of coconut planting with more than 300 coconut trees in the Man Thai beach area (Man Thai ward, Son Tra district, Da Nang city). In the coming time, the Management Board continues to call for contributions and support from social organizations and individuals who love the environment to continue implementing the task of planting coconuts according to the plan assigned by the city.
