The event conveyed a strong message calling on departments, branches, localities, organizations, businesses and the whole society to pay attention and allocate appropriate and sufficient resources to care for, educate and protect children.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for Population and Children of Hai Duong province emphasized: children are the future of the nation, investing in children is an investment for sustainable development. He suggested that sectors and localities effectively implement activities to support children, especially children in special circumstances, to ensure them have a safe, healthy and happy summer.
The Hai Duong Department of Health is assigned a standing role, continuing to coordinate with units to promote vaccination, disease screening, nutrition consultation and mental health care for children. The Department of Education and Training strengthens life skills education, prevents school violence, supports disabled children and children with special needs.
Localities are required to organize recreational activities and useful summer activities, while strengthening inspection and supervision of swimming pools, playgrounds, and preventing accidents and injuries. Agencies such as the Police, the Procuracy, and the Court continue to closely coordinate and strictly handle acts of child abuse.
The leaders of Hai Duong province also called on parents and teachers to accompany, be close and care for children; help them develop comprehensively both physically, mentally and spiritually, nurture dreams and aspirations for a good life.
