On August 22, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of An Giang Provincial Police said that it had just coordinated with Phu Quoc Special Forces Police to catch two subjects red-handed for illegal drug trafficking.

Previously, on the road from Suoi Lon neighborhood to Group 3 neighborhood (Phu Quoc area), the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police in coordination with Phu Quoc Special Police discovered 2 subjects riding a motorbike with suspicious signs. After checking, the police seized from K.N.P.H (born in 1975, residing in Dinh Hoa commune) a plastic bag containing 3 bags containing crystalline substances suspected to be drugs and 1 small scale. The driver was H.V.H (born in 1987, residing in Thanh My Tay commune).

Continuing to check the rented room in An Thoi residential area 7 by 2 subjects, the police continued to seize 13 more plastic bags containing many crystalline particles suspected to be drugs, with a total weight of about 180 grams.

Through investigation, K.N.P.H initially confessed that the evidence seized was crystal meth, both of them were discovered and caught red-handed by the police on their way to sell drugs.

Currently, the police have drawn up a record of arresting the offender in the act, temporarily detaining the subjects and all related exhibits to serve the investigation, clarification, and handling according to the law.
