On August 23, Vinh Long Provincial Police said that Tra Vinh Ward Police had detained Ngo My Tien (29 years old, residing in Hamlet 19, Tra Vinh Ward, Vinh Long Province) for the act of stealing property.
According to Vinh Long Provincial Police, on August 20, Ngo My Tien went to a supermarket in Tra Vinh Ward with the intention of finding property to steal.
Tien went inside the supermarket to buy some items to create a cover. After that, when he went to the parking area and saw that no one was paying attention, Tien used the prepared tools to break the lock of a motorbike. The subject continued to run out to the gate, using a pre-prepared parking card to give to the security guard to get the vehicle.
After getting the motorbike, Tien drove straight to the family's motel that he managed to hide. It is known that Ngo My Tien has 2 previous convictions for theft.
The case is being investigated by Tra Vinh Ward Police to clarify and handle according to regulations.
