The Office of the Investigation Police Agency (IPA) of Kien Giang Provincial Police said that recently (May 19) it executed an arrest warrant to temporarily detain Le Hoang Linh (born in 2004), residing in Ca Mau Province, for the act of intentionally causing injury.
Previously, at around 7:00 p.m. on December 23, 2024, at a rental house in An Bien district (Kien Giang), Le Hoang Linh and her biological mother, N.T.N (born in 1980, residing in An Bien district) discovered Mr. N.V.Y (born in 1980, both residing in Xeo Ro hamlet) in a bedroom with one person.
Because Ms. N and Mr. Y have a relationship, when she saw Mr. Y living with Ms. T.M.T (born in 1996, residing in Soc Trang province), she became jealous.
Mrs. N ran to fight with Mrs. T, Mr. Y saw that and used his hand to beat Mrs. N many times. Seeing her mother being beaten, Linh ran over the neighbor's house and took a club and stabbed Mr. Y many times before going home. Mr. Y was taken to the hospital by local people for emergency treatment and wound treatment.
While the investigation agency was verifying and handling the case, Linh fled to a boat. Using professional measures, on May 19, 2025, the Office of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency arranged forces to arrest Linh in Xeo Ro Hamlet, Hung Yen Commune, An Bien District when the boat made landfall.
Currently, defendant Le Hoang Linh is being detained. The case is being further investigated and handled according to the law.
