Nearly 2,000 new businesses registered in Hung Yen

Hung Yen - According to the People's Committee of Hung Yen province, the number of newly registered enterprises reached 1,860, an increase of 15.7% over the same period in 2023.

According to the People's Committee of Hung Yen province, in 2024, the province has always accompanied and stood side by side with investors, listened to and respected the opinions and contributions of domestic and foreign businesses and investment associations, creating cohesion and trust among investors.

The province has always paid attention to the legal and legitimate rights of people in the project area; determining compensation, resettlement, and creating favorable conditions for people to live and work as key factors.

Thanks to that, investment attraction has achieved many positive results. It is estimated that in 2024, the results of attracting new and adjusted investment will reach VND 25,751 billion and USD 1,400 million (total equivalent to USD 2,453 million).

Of which, 138 new investment projects (an increase of 38 projects compared to the same period in 2023), including 86 domestic projects (an increase of 42 projects compared to the same period in 2023) and 52 foreign-invested projects (a decrease of 4 projects compared to the same period in 2023).

Total registered investment capital reached VND 19,619 billion (an increase of VND 7,600 billion) and USD 1,279 million (an increase of USD 539 million); capital was adjusted to increase for 109 projects (70 domestic projects and 39 foreign projects) with a total adjusted investment capital increase of VND 6,132 billion and USD 121 million.

The total number of valid projects in the province increased to 2,328, including 1,730 domestic projects and 598 foreign projects with registered investment capital of VND 346,038 billion and USD 8.4 billion. In addition to promoting investment attraction activities, the province has directed the review and recovery of projects that are slow to implement, not implemented, and not put into use. In 2024, 8 projects were recovered (5 domestic projects and 3 foreign projects).

The number of newly registered enterprises reached 1,860, an increase of 15.7% over the same period in 2023, with a total newly registered capital of VND 32,934.7 billion.

The number of enterprises returning to operation was 356, up 9.2% over the same period; the number of enterprises temporarily suspending business was 790, up 18.4% over the same period and the number of dissolved enterprises was 210, up 6.5%. To date, the province has 18,346 registered enterprises with a total registered capital of VND 236,886 billion.
