The economic scale of Da Nang City in the first 9 months of 2024 at current prices is estimated at more than 111,589 billion VND, an increase of more than 11,726 billion VND compared to the same period in 2023; leading the provinces and cities in the South Central Coast region. This is a good signal to help the city's economy get closer to the growth target for the whole year of 2024.
According to the report of the General Statistics Office, the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the third quarter of 2024 is estimated to increase by 8.59% over the same period in 2023, higher than the increase of 2.49% in the first quarter and 8.09% in the second quarter of 20241.
Of which, the added value (VA) of the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 1.51%; the industry - construction sector recovered strongly and achieved an increase of 10.60%; the service sector maintained a good growth rate of 8.21%; product taxes minus product subsidies increased by 8.43% over the same period in 2023.

With an increase of 8.59% in the third quarter of 2024, Da Nang's GRDP growth rate ranked 19th out of 63 provinces and centrally-run cities. In the first 9 months of 2024, the city's GRDP is estimated to increase by 6.47%, higher than the 3.94% increase in the same period in 2023 and ranked 42nd out of 63 localities in terms of GRDP growth rate.
Of which, the scale of VA in the service sector expanded the most with more than VND 9,043 billion; the industrial - construction sector expanded by more than VND 1,551 billion; the agricultural, forestry and fishery sector expanded by more than VND 65 billion and product tax minus product subsidies increased by VND 1,066 billion.
Nationwide, Da Nang's GRDP scale in the first 9 months of 2024 continued to maintain its 17th position out of 63 provinces and cities and led the provinces and cities in the South Central Coast region.
