On December 31, news from Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union said that the unit launched the program "Volunteering to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province" in 2025.
The program aims to promote the pioneering and proactive spirit of Ha Tinh youth in implementing the policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province, contributing to achieving achievements in celebrating major holidays and important events in 2025.
According to the Propaganda Department of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, implementing Decision No. 539 dated June 19, 2024 of the Prime Minister on the plan to deploy the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025", the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province launched the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Ha Tinh province in 2025".
Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee also issued a Directive on strengthening the Party's leadership in implementing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Ha Tinh province and establishing a Steering Committee to implement the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Ha Tinh province.
Through screening, Ha Tinh province has 2,165 households including families of meritorious people, relatives of martyrs, poor and near-poor households needing support to build new houses or repair houses. Of these, 1,627 are poor and near-poor households.
The total number of newly built houses is 1,471, and 694 houses will be repaired. The cost of new construction according to central regulations is 60 million VND/house, and the cost of repair is 30 million VND/house.
According to regulations, the demolition of temporary and dilapidated houses for families with meritorious services and relatives of martyrs will use the central and provincial budgets; for poor and near-poor households in Ha Tinh, more than 83 billion VND must be mobilized from socialized sources.
According to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Ha Tinh province, as of early December 2024, Ha Tinh has mobilized more than 27 billion VND in socialized capital to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025.
Of which: The Logistics Department, Ministry of National Defense supported Huong Khe district with 2.5 billion VND (50 houses, each house with 50 million VND); Viettel Group supported 25 billion VND.
In addition, the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development plans to support 6 billion VND.
Up to now, Ha Tinh province has started construction of 26 houses with support from the Ministry of National Defense (Military Industry - Telecommunications Group).
Currently, Ha Tinh province is continuing to propagate, mobilize, and call on agencies, units, businesses, philanthropists, and all people inside and outside the province to support and effectively implement the program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Ha Tinh province" in 2025.
According to the Propaganda Department of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, since the beginning of the term (2021) up to now, the whole Ha Tinh province has mobilized and supported the construction of 8,386 houses with a total cost of more than 566 billion VND for poor households, near-poor households and disadvantaged households in the area.
