Every year, before the Lunar New Year, the situation of buying, selling, transporting and using weapons, explosives, support tools and fireworks often tends to increase.
Before the upcoming Lunar New Year, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province issued a Directive on strengthening the management, prevention and combat of violations related to weapons, explosives, supporting tools and fireworks during the holidays and Tet in 2025 in the province.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested units to strengthen the work of grasping the situation, effectively implementing the work of preventing and combating all types of crimes and violations of the law related to weapons, explosives, and supporting tools; well organizing the work of mobilizing the collection, classification, preservation, liquidation, and destruction of weapons, explosives, supporting tools, and fireworks according to regulations.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed the district and commune police to develop plans and strategies suitable for each locality to organize the prevention and combat of violations related to weapons, explosives, support tools and fireworks.
Mobilize maximum forces to coordinate with the local police to organize patrols, control, close areas, set up checkpoints, especially for routes, areas, and areas identified as key, complicated, and at risk of illegal fireworks; absolutely protect the safety of locations for organizing fireworks displays, political and cultural events on the occasion of New Year, Lunar New Year and holidays and festivals in 2025 in the province.
Coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade to inspect and strictly manage the business activities of industrial explosives and explosive precursors, conditions of security and order, fire prevention and fighting safety for people, means of transport, and warehouses storing industrial explosives, promptly detect, prevent and strictly handle organizations and individuals who violate the law.
The Provincial Military Command seriously and effectively coordinates the prevention and combat of crimes and violations of the law on weapons, explosives, support tools and fireworks; organizes the reception, management, classification and destruction of weapons and explosives according to regulations.
