According to the Hai Phong Department of Health, people's demand for trade and tourism during the National Day holiday on September 2 increased, along with activities preparing for the opening of the 2025-2026 school year being warned to easily increase the risk of infection and outbreak of infectious diseases.
In order to proactively prevent and limit the spread of infectious diseases in the community, the city's health sector recommends that each agency, unit, family and individual actively implement environmental sanitation measures, personal hygiene, food hygiene... to ensure health maintenance.
accommodation establishments; facilities providing entertainment, recreation, exhibition, cultural and sports services; food and beverage services; stations, bus stations, train stations... need to carry out general environmental sanitation such as clearing forest dust, clearing sewers, collecting waste, scrap, removing unused water containers, thoroughly treating bedbugs and sticks. Ensure clean surface hygiene; use clean water sources and hygienic wastewater. Arrange the trash can with a lid to ensure hygiene, organize daily garbage collection and transportation.
For households: Regularly clean the house, keep daily surfaces and contact tools such as items, toys for children, door handles, stairs, tabletop, chairs, floors... clean with soap or conventional detergents; ensure a ventilated environment. Every week, organize general environmental cleaning, kill bedbugs in houses and places of residence; proactively prevent diseases transmitted through mosquitoes such as dengue fever, Chikungunya and other diseases transmitted by mosquitoes. Spend at least 10 minutes a week killing the mosquito larvae/ members.
Each individual needs to pay attention to personal hygiene and proactively prevent epidemics: Wash your hands regularly with soap and clean water, especially before eating and after going to the toilet; you can use quick hand sanitizer if you do not have the conditions to use clean water and soap. Do culinary hygiene, drink cooked food, choose safe food, use separate personal items, do not use together, especially stews, cups, bowls, spoons, chopsticks...
Proactively take preventive measures for respiratory diseases such as: cover your mouth and nose with a paper towel, towel when coughing or sneezing. People with respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough, sneezing, runny nose should not go to crowded places; wear a mask properly when showing signs of illness. Proactively vaccinate against infectious diseases. If you discover signs of the disease, go immediately to a medical facility for timely examination, consultation and treatment.
