Hai Phong tries inter-provincial drug group, sentences a total of more than 43 years in prison

Hai Phong - The People's Court of Region 12 has just held a first-instance trial of the case of "Illegal trading of narcotics" and "Organizing illegal use of narcotics".

The defendants include: Pham Thi D (born in 1989), Le Van D (born in 1991, both residing in Sa Lung village, Pham Ngu Lao commune, Hung Yen province); Luu Dinh P (born in 1984, residing in Lieu Thuong village, Nguyen Van Linh commune, Hung Yen province); Pham Ngoc C (born in 1990, residing in Trung area, Ke Sat commune, Hai Phong city).

According to the indictment of the People's Procuracy of Region 12, between 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on June 1, 2025, in Sa Lung village, Pham Ngu Lao commune, Hung Yen province, Pham Thi D provided a location and tools, Le Van D provided Methamphetamine for D and D to illegally use at D's house. D also gave D a bag of Methamphetamine to sell.

At around 8:00 p.m. the same day, D sold Pham Ngoc C the bag of drugs (D gave him before) for 240,000 VND. Then C brought it to Thuong area, Ke Sat commune, Hai Phong city to resell to Tran Van D for 500,000 VND. Tran Van D brought the drugs he bought to the fields of My Trach village, Duong An commune, Hai Phong city to use.

Then, from 4:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on June 2, D provided the location and tools, Luu Dinh P. provided Methamphetamine for D, D, P and Le Van Ph to illegally use. P provided D with 0.86 grams of Methamphetamine, D sold Pham Ngoc C 0.316 grams for 380,000 VND, C brought the drugs to My Trach village, Duong An commune, Hai Phong city to resell to others for profit, but was discovered red-handed and had evidence confiscated.

During the search, the investigation agency seized P's residence of 9.978 grams of Methamphetamine for sale.

Regarding the illegal use of drugs by Le Van Ph and Tran Van D, on September 26, Hai Phong City Police issued a decision to sanction administrative violations.

At the trial, the Prosecutors participated in questioning to clarify the defendants' criminal acts, provide a basis for analyzing and assessing the nature and severity of the crime; state the cause of the crime, and at the same time recommend prevention, propaganda, and dissemination of legal education to the masses to raise awareness of law compliance, limit the occurrence of law violations in the coming time.

Based on the request of the representative of the Procuracy, the Trial Council sentenced Pham Thi D to 15 years and 6 months in prison, Luu Dinh P to 16 years and 6 months in prison; Le Van D to 4 years and 1 month in prison; Pham Ngoc C to 7 years and 6 months in prison.
