Previously, at around 3:30 p.m. on September 2, the Truong Sa Island Logistics and Technical Service Center received a call from fishing boat BD-96095.TS, which had a broken engine and was drifting at sea, requesting help.
This is a fishing boat captained by Mr. Le Chinh (living in Binh Dinh), leaving for seafood exploitation on August 12 from Hoai Nhon port, Binh Dinh.
The center notified ship 746 of Squadron 129, which was on duty to protect sovereignty in the area, to promptly assist in rescuing the fishing boat.
Upon receiving the information, ship 746 immediately maneuvered, approached the fishing boat and deployed a rescue line to pull the fishing boat back to the dock.
At around 6 p.m., the fishing boat was safely brought back to Truong Sa island port in stormy weather and heavy rain at sea.
Truong Sa Island Logistics and Technical Service Center has sent technical staff to survey and fix fishing boat problems to continue seafood exploitation.
Squadron 129 said that during the peak days of celebrating the 79th National Day, the ports, fishing villages in Truong Sa archipelago and the ships on duty in the areas always strictly maintained their on-duty work, while promptly supporting and helping fishermen to confidently go out to sea.
