On January 6, 2026, a clip circulated on social networks recording an argument at A.T. motel, Da Bac - Xuan Khanh area, Tung Thien ward (Hanoi), attracting public attention.
According to initial information, two young men from other localities came to attend a relative's wedding. Because they could not return in time for the night, both rented a room at A.T. guesthouse for 300,000 VND/night.
During the stay, due to the cold weather, the two people requested to borrow more blankets but were not approved by the motel owner. The two sides then had an argument, leading to the two young men deciding not to continue renting rooms.
After the incident, the motel owner reported to the police agency with suspicion that the two young men showed signs of illegal drug use. Upon receiving the report, Tung Thien Ward Police were present at the scene to check and verify.
Through quick tests and professional measures, functional forces determined that both young men were negative for drugs, and no violations of the law were detected.
Talking to reporters, the leader of Tung Thien Ward Police said that after checking papers, administrative procedures and clarifying the incident, the unit allowed the two young men to leave according to regulations.
According to the ward police leader, it is necessary for people and accommodation establishment owners to proactively report when detecting suspicious signs in crime prevention and control.
