On October 19, at Deo Ca Railway Team (Dai Lanh Commune, Van Ninh District, Khanh Hoa), Phu Khanh Railway Joint Stock Company held a launching ceremony for the "Train Road - Flower Road" movement and deployed the model of the road section that grandparents and grandchildren take care of together.
Deployed since 2023, the “Train Road – Flower Road” movement launched by the railway industry involves planting trees and flowers at workplaces and along railway lines. To date, the whole country has planted more than 100km of flower roads along the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City unified railway line with thousands of local trees and flowers.
Continuing to spread the movement, Phu Khanh Railway Joint Stock Company organized the planting of nearly 100 yellow trumpet vine, white trumpet vine, and snow mountain orchids... at the railway section Km1231+800–Km 1232+100 and Km 1232+800–Km1233+800, the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City unified railway route through Dai Lanh commune.
This nearly 400m railway section used to be a hot spot for waste and environmental pollution near the coastal residential area of Dai Lanh. In order to develop the railway – flower road here, the model “Road for grandparents and grandchildren to take care of together” was born with the cooperation of the Veterans Association of Dai Lanh Commune, the Youth Union of Phu Khanh Railway Joint Stock Company and Chi Lang Secondary School, Dai Lanh Primary School.
Veterans, youth union members, and students in Dai Lanh commune will join hands to care for, preserve, and expand the road. At the same time, this is also an important force to help raise awareness among people about participating in railway traffic, not littering, grazing livestock, or destroying the landscape, etc.
According to Mr. Pham Nguyen Chien - Director of Phu Khanh Railway Joint Stock Company, with the task of managing 283km of railway passing through 3 provinces of Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, the Company has launched a movement to each station and each unit.
At the Deo Ca Railway Team, with its own characteristics, the development of the "Train Road - Flower Road" movement is even more meaningful when there is active support from the local government. And the model of combining with mass organizations, which was first implemented "the road that grandparents and grandchildren take care of together", will promote and spread more beautiful flower garden locations, creating green spaces, bringing cultural colors to the area along the railway.
