More than 4,200 new houses help Gia Lai people settle down

Gia Lai More than 4,200 newly built and repaired houses have helped people stabilize their lives.

On April 1, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Gia Lai province said that as of March 30, 2025, the whole province has started construction and repair of 4,289/8,485 houses, reaching 50.55% of the plan.

Of which, 1,126 houses have been completed. Specifically, localities in the province have started construction of 126 new houses and repaired 60 houses for meritorious families.

The government jointly supported the construction of 781 new houses and repaired 48 houses for poor and near-poor households under national target programs. Build 2,652 new houses, repair 622 houses for poor and near-poor households from the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

Mr. Rah Lan Chung - Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee - said that the province is determined and strives to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses so that people can rise up and have a good life, settle down and make a living.

In addition to support from businesses inside and outside the province, Gia Lai saves 5% of regular expenditures in the local budget to support house building for people.

The police force and the Ministry of National Defense have also issued an official dispatch agreeing to assign Military Region 5, Army Corps 34, and Army Corps 15 to help the people of Gia Lai eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

Based on the actual situation, military units have helped people build new houses and renovate their houses, while complying with work discipline and absolute safety.
