On the afternoon of March 6, the Vietnam Cooperative Union (VCC) held a Conference on "Solutions to promote the application of technology, innovation, digital transformation in production and business activities and trade promotion for cooperatives".
In his opening speech, Mr. Dinh Hong Thai - Vice President of the Vietnam Cooperative Union - said that in order to promote the application of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in the collective economic and cooperative sector, the Vietnam Cooperative Union has implemented a project to apply information technology in the management and operation of the Vietnam Cooperative Union system. In particular, building and implementing a number of digital transformation application platforms in production and business activities for collective economic sectors and cooperatives such as: project "building and maintaining the operation of Online Product Markets for ethnic minority and mountainous people", product traceability software, etc.

At the conference, representatives of cooperatives, units and enterprises shared about the current situation and solutions for innovation, creativity and digital transformation for cooperatives; difficulties and obstacles in applying science and technology, bright innovation and digital transformation of cooperatives; orientations in digital transformation...
Mr. Nguyen Van Vu - Chairman of the Bac Lieu Provincial Cooperative Union - said that many cooperatives are interested in connecting product consumption markets for members. Cooperatives have become an important link in production linkages associated with product consumption for members and farming households, a bridge between farmers and businesses in providing input and output product packaging services.
Mr. Nong Van Thach - Chairman of the Board of Directors, Director of Ba Dinh General Agricultural Cooperative (Hong Dan District, Bac Lieu Province) - said: To carry out digital transformation quickly and effectively, the Cooperative identified the important factor as the leadership team must have sufficient capacity and qualifications to facilitate the process of approaching and applying the Cooperative and supporting members to carry out digital transformation.
According to Mr. Thach, the application of technical advances and digital technology has contributed to reducing labor costs and production costs, thereby contributing to increasing income for members, helping cooperative management and operation activities to be accurate, timely, fast, efficient, time-saving and ensure compliance with regulations.
