Khanh Hoa Police have launched a 50-day and night peak period of granting level 2 electronic identification accounts to foreigners and have completed the set target.

On August 24, the leader of the Immigration Department, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police informed that after more than 1 month of implementing the peak period, the unit has issued level 2 electronic identification accounts to 999 foreigners.

Thereby, it contributes significantly to ensuring security and order and supporting foreigners in the province to carry out convenient and transparent administrative procedures.

According to the leader of the Immigration Department, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, the process of issuing level 2 electronic identification cards to foreigners faces many challenges.

Due to the large number of foreigners residing in Khanh Hoa, it is often fluctuating. Providing information is difficult because foreigners move out of the province or enter and exit. This leads to unsynchronized information and takes a long time to update.

In addition, language barriers make many cases not yet fully understand the benefits of implementation, causing obstacles in guiding and collecting identification information.

Faced with the above reality, the Immigration Department has mobilized a team of staff with foreign language skills, and coordinated with volunteers and interpreters to support the guidance.

Guidance materials are compiled in many popular languages such as English, Russian, Korean, and Chinese. Thereby, helping foreigners easily access information and carry out the identification process.
