Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Trinh Minh Hoang has just signed a document to departments, branches, provincial police, People's Committees at the commune and ward levels... regarding the acceleration of effective implementation of short-term solutions to prevent bird hunting.
According to statistics, Khanh Hoa currently has 61 communes and wards raising bird. In particular, there are 33 bird islands with 173 bird caves managed by Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest State-owned One Member Co., Ltd.
However, the situation of extinguishing bird hunting has been happening in many localities.Trapping and catching, mainly sold to restaurants and eateries, has reduced the flock of bird in the wild and at farming facilities, causing public outrage.
To prevent the above situation, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee assigned departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees at the commune level and relevant agencies and units to proactively direct the drastic implementation of solutions according to regulations.
Depending on their functions, tasks, and powers, direct agencies, units, and specialized functional forces under their management to regularly organize inspections, intercept, dismantle, and recover vehicles and tools to illegally trap and catch bird birds.
Resolutely handle acts of trapping, catching, transporting, trading, and illegally consuming bird's nest according to regulations.
The Provincial People's Committee also requested the People's Committees of communes and wards to urgently establish a quick response team on bird protection, to be completed before October 5, 2025. Report the implementation results to the Provincial People's Committee before October 31, 2025.
At the same time, direct villages and residential groups to organize propaganda and mobilize people to sign a commitment to implement "3 no's": No hunting, no trading, no illegal consumption of bird's nest.
Encourage and motivate people to actively detect, report and promptly report violations to local authorities.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Education and Training to study and integrate content on island bird resources and the work of protecting bird populations into the education program for students in the province.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment shall preside over and coordinate with Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest State-owned One Member Co., Ltd.
to research, develop and provide propaganda documents on the protection of bird collections for communes, wards and related agencies and units.
