The 2025 communication program "Silent contributions" and the seminar "Solutions to ensure livelihoods for workers after natural disasters" organized by Kinh Ton & Urban Newspaper in coordination with ActionAid International in Vietnam (ActionAid Vietnam), Vietnam Social Security Program and Project Support Fund (AFV) on the afternoon of March 31, 2025 at the Academy of Journalism and Communication.
According to the Organizing Committee, after 4 times of organization, the "Silent Dedications" contest has attracted more than 1,400 entries. In 2025, the Organizing Committee will continue to launch competitions for both professional and amateur authors across the country.
The entries are diverse in genres. The entries must be published between January 1, 2025 and October 30, 2025. The total prize value for both professional and amateur categories is up to more than 240 million VND.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Loi - Editor-in-Chief of Kinh To and Urban Newspaper, Head of the program's organizing committee - said that this year the Organizing Committee hopes to have all types of journalism participating, including visual newspapers, written newspapers, spoken newspapers, while enhancing works in the technology media genre such as podcast, e-magazine, with new perspectives and discoveries.
The organizing committee also aims to attract at least 400 articles from professional and non-professional authors across the country, especially non-professional authors and students from universities majoring in communications.
Following the success of the previous 4 seasons, the communication program "Silent contributions 2025" will continue to aim at in-depthness, accompanying media agencies to help people raise awareness and find solutions to improve the quality of social security life in the conditions of natural disasters and epidemics. The program also helps people better understand their rights and obligations under the law in the context of the digital economy, climate change and economic integration.

After the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee held a seminar with the theme "Solutions to ensure livelihoods for workers after natural disasters". The seminar creates opportunities for female workers and freelance workers to express their difficulties and problems; at the same time, helps managers and experts propose solutions to resolve them. In addition, policy makers also have more practical information before issuing appropriate mechanisms and regulations.
This year's program hopes to contribute more to promote management agencies, organizations and insurance units to better implement social security policies for people affected by natural disasters. "The purpose of the seminar is to enhance communication, support people in flood-prone areas, areas frequently affected by natural disasters...", Mr. Nguyen Thanh Loi emphasized.
