Prosecution of 14 defendants related to gambling in the form of shaking tai su in An Giang

An Giang Provincial Police have issued a Decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and execute an Order prohibiting them from leaving their place of residence against 14 defendants in the gambling case in Tan Hoi commune.

Including: Duong Tam Em (born in 1984); Khau Thi Kim Trinh (born in 1997); Duong Van Quy (born in 1997); Huynh Thi Kim My (born in 1970); Le Van Tam (born in 1983); Nguyen Thi Loan (born in 1973); Le Thanh Phong (born in 1982 - all residing in Tan Hoi commune, An Giang province); Le Thi Chuoc (born in 1972); Nguyen Thi Hue (born in 1986 - all residing in Vinh Thong ward, An Giang province); Tran Thi Nga (born in 1971); Cao Van Luc (born in 1969 - all residing in My Thuan commune, An Giang province); Nguyen Quoc Khanh (born in 1983 - all residing in Nhon Giang commune, An Giang province); Kim Thi Chuoc (born in 1967 - all residing in Dong Giang province); Nguyen Thi Ha (born in 1984 - all residing in Dong Giang province); Nguyen Thi Tra - all residing in Dong Giang province.

Previously, at around 2:00 p.m. on September 9, 2025, receiving a report from the masses that in Dap Da hamlet, Tan Hoi commune, a group of people were gambling in the form of shaking tai su to win and lose money. Tan Hoi Commune Police quickly verified and coordinated with the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police to conduct an inspection and caught 14 subjects red-handed participating in gambling.

The evidence seized at the scene was more than 5 million VND, 70 million VND and some related gambling tools. At the police station, the above subjects admitted to their violations.

Currently, the case is being further investigated and handled by the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police in accordance with the law.
