On December 2, Vinh Long Provincial Police said that the Investigation Police Agency had executed decisions to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue an order to temporarily detain Nguyen Trong Hau (born in 2008) and Le Tran Ngoc Huong (born in 2006), both at the same address in An Hoi Ward.
The two defendants are being investigated for organizing illegal use of drugs, according to the provisions of law.
Accordingly, in the early morning of November 25, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Vinh Long Provincial Police coordinated with An Hoi Ward Police to conduct an administrative inspection of house number 45A1, My Hoa quarter, Ben Tre ward, where Nguyen Trong Hau and Le Tran Ngoc Huong rented.
In the two subjects' bedrooms, the police discovered a plastic bag containing white solid crystals and a plate containing white powder crystals suspected to be drugs.
Through investigation, Hau and Huong confessed that the white crystals in the plastic bag and on the plate were drugs for use; conducted a quick test, the results of both of them tested positive for drugs.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Vinh Long Province Police is continuing to investigate and handle according to regulations.
