At noon on April 30, the tide on the Ca Ty River in the heart of Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province rising is also the time when the Phan Thiet city boat race celebrated the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, reuniting the country.

This year's tournament includes 225 athletes from 9 teams of communes and wards with fishermen going to sea in Phan Thiet city.
Athletes are selected from healthy young people with experience in rowing and coordinating the rowing beat with their teammates. Because this is both a sports playground for fishermen in the coastal area and a show of strength in facing storms and rowing firmly in front of the sea.

Mr. Nguyen Nam Long, Vice Chairman of Phan Thiet City People's Committee, said that the boat racing tournament brought a vibrant atmosphere to the city on the occasion of the April 30 holiday and created a useful playground, encouraging the strength and will to go offshore to stick to the sea of fishing villagers.
The tournament also attracts tourists and promotes the city's tourism image.

According to the competition regulations, each boat has 25 athletes. The teams competed in 3 distances: 300 m, 500 m in a row and 1,200 m in rotation. Each competition distance takes place in two direct qualifying rounds and the final.

As they compete, the rowers coordinate their strength to create powerful rowing beats that cause the water surface to create strong waves. The dramatic chases of the boat teams brought the appeal of the race to the audience.

On the river, the traffic police force runs a canoe to ensure safety for the competing teams, and the border guards are also on duty on the canoe, ready for situations to arise.
The referee team was present at the starting point and the finishing position. On both sides of the Ca Ty River, people cheered in support of the teams.

At the end of the boat racing tournament, the Organizing Committee held a closing ceremony and awarded prizes to the champion teams in each distance.
