On July 12, Binh An Commune Police (An Giang Province) deployed forces to organize an invitation and drug test in the bodies of subjects with signs of suspected illegal use of drugs in the area.
Through the deployment, the police force invited a total of 20 subjects to work. The results of the rapid test showed that 14 subjects tested positive for drugs. In which, the Commune Police have prepared records, sent 3 subjects to determine their addiction status in accordance with regulations; at the same time, issued a decision to fine 11 subjects for illegal use of drugs, with a fine of 1.5 million VND/person.
Currently, the Commune Police are continuing to monitor and manage related subjects, coordinate with families and local authorities in education, deterrence, and prevention of re-offending, contributing to maintaining security and order in the area.
