To ensure the smooth and safe operation of the 2-level local government model on July 1, in these days, the Department of Science and Technology (KHCN) of Kien Giang has deployed staff to directly support the communes and wards (new) to handle technical, network and technology problems.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Kiem - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Kien Giang province - said: Regarding technical and technological infrastructure, the province has completed the implementation of a specialized data transmission line to 204 People's Committees of communes, Party Committees of communes and towns and specific administrative units. Establish and operate 204 online television conference points, ensuring smooth connection from the provincial to the commune level. Complete the implementation of upgrading the electronic office system, online meeting system, electronic mails for public services and basically ensure adequate infrastructure, equipment, and human resources for the Provincial and Commune Public Administration Service Centers, ready to be put into operation from July 1.
Previously, the Department organized a trial operation training for the People's Committee of Thanh Loc commune, a training course to put into operation an electronic gate connected to the national information portal, ensuring the settlement of administrative procedures for organizations and citizens without interruption. The Department has connected to the farthest island in the province, Tho Chau, to successfully pilot the connection of television conferences from the mainland, said Mr. Kiem.
Currently, the one-stop system has completed upgrading and standardizing the One-stop electronic software system to ensure connectivity between provincial - district - commune levels, synchronized with the National Public Service Portal and has completed the connection, integration, and connection of the One-stop electronic system with the National Public Service Portal in accordance with the Government's roadmap. Training, testing, and technical operation of the entire system has been organized at 100% of commune and town-level units, ensuring official readiness for operation from July 1, 2025. The province has basically completed the arrangement of equipment and personnel for operation at the Provincial and Commune-level Public Administration Service Centers and specialized wards and has completed the integration of 25 full online public services according to the Government Office's instructions on the National Public Service Portal.
The Office of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province has also organized training for 48 communes on the implementation of the organization of public administrative centers and the process of receiving administrative procedures. Leaders, cadres and civil servants in communes, wards and special zones are trained in knowledge about the model of public administrative service centers and introduced new software such as one-stop electronic software, electronic office to ensure that when put into operation, cadres and civil servants understand and operate, and use well the software to serve the handling of administrative procedures, as well as solve work in the upcoming electronic environment.
In addition, the province has integrated artificial intelligence (AI) into the electronic office system to help improve work processing efficiency, reduce manual operation time and support staff in synthesis and reporting work.
