Implementing the direction of the Military Region 9 Command, on the afternoon of March 2, the Military Command of Kien Giang province organized cadres and key players to study and propose local military organizations.
At the conference, the Provincial Military Command reported on the draft plan of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army to propose local military organization according to the policy of the Party and State on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently. Based on the practical situation of geography, area, population size, current number of districts and communes and the characteristics of functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Vietnam People's Army, the draft plan has proposed to build a suitable local military agency.
The delegates analyzed, contributed, and proposed opinions on local military organizations in the spirit of Resolution No. 05 of the Politburo on the organization of the Vietnam People's Army for the period 2021-2030 and the following years; Conclusion No. 126 of the Politburo on a number of contents and tasks to continue to reorganize and streamline the apparatus of the political system in 2025.
Speaking at the conference, Colonel Nguyen Van Nganh, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, agreed on a number of opinions of delegates attending the conference, and at the same time requested agencies and units to continue researching and proposing solutions according to the National Defense policy, the People's War policy, the Party's military strategy, ensuring consistency with the practical situation in the Southwest region and Vietnam's military tradition.
