Kon Tum creates jobs for 5,000 workers

Kon Tum - Innovation in vocational training, connecting supply and demand between workers and enterprises helps increase the employment rate in the province.

On May 3, according to statistics from the Department of Home Affairs of Kon Tum province, in the first 4 months of 2025, the whole province has created jobs for more than 5,000 workers, reaching 83% of the annual plan.

This result shows the efforts of sectors and localities in supporting workers to access jobs, stabilize income and life.

The province has introduced jobs to 272 workers at companies and enterprises inside and outside the province; supported over 1,350 workers through the National Employment Fund.

The provincial authorities organized the sending of 50 workers to work abroad under contracts and created jobs for 3,335 workers through other support programs.

Vocational training continues to be promoted, with more than 1,740 people trained at college, primary and short-term courses under 3 months.

The Provincial Center for Historical archives and Employment Services has promoted job counseling and introduction through online channels such as websites, phones, Facebook, Zalo, etc., thereby consulting 568 employees.

The production, business situation and recruitment demand at enterprises in the first quarter of 2025 have many positive changes.

In the quarter, 61 businesses registered for recruitment with 683 vacant positions. It is expected that in the second quarter, recruitment demand will increase to about 1,300 locations, focusing on the fields of agriculture, forestry - fishery, processing industry, construction and services - trade.

In addition, the foreign labor market such as Japan and South Korea also has a great demand for Vietnamese labor in the manufacturing, construction, agricultural and nursing industries.

Ms. Y Ngoc - Permanent Vice Chairman of Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee suggested that localities continue to promote propaganda, organize job exchanges, and apply information technology in connecting labor supply and demand.

Industries and localities innovate vocational training, especially foreign language training and service skills to meet the requirements of domestic and foreign markets.
