On the afternoon of September 3, information from the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Province Police said that during the 4-day National Day holiday of September 2 (from August 31 to the morning of September 3), the authorities recorded 1,133 administrative violations.
The Traffic Police and Order force has stopped and inspected more than 12,460 vehicles of all kinds. Of which, the Traffic Police Department alone has stopped and inspected more than 3,420 vehicles of all kinds.
Thereby, the authorities have drawn up records and issued decisions to impose administrative penalties on 1,133 cases of violations of the provisions of the Road Traffic Law, with a fine of more than 2.1 billion VND. The police have revoked the driving licenses of 167 cases and temporarily detained 183 vehicles of all kinds.
In addition, during the 4-day holiday, Lam Dong province had 4 traffic accidents, killing 3 people and injuring 2 others. Among them, there was a particularly serious traffic accident in the inner city of Bao Loc, killing 2 people.
Compared to 2023, the number of accidents during the September 2 holiday decreased by 5 cases, the number of deaths did not increase or decrease, and the number of injured people decreased by 6 people.
To ensure traffic order and safety, creating favorable conditions for tourists and people coming to Da Lat and localities in the province to vacation and have fun, Lam Dong Provincial Police mobilized 100% of traffic police officers and soldiers to participate in the task.
The authorities have arranged 345 patrol and control teams on National Highways 20, 27, 28, 28B and National Highway 55 as well as provincial roads and inner-city areas throughout the province, with more than 1,340 officers and soldiers participating.
