On June 12, Mr. Vo Ngoc Hiep, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, signed a plan to review and develop a plan to handle assets after the reorganization of the apparatus and administrative units at all levels.

At the same time, it ensures compliance with reality, thrift, and anti-waste.
Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to inspect the quantity and management of land use as headquarters and public service facilities of Lam Dong province to advise and propose to the Provincial People's Committee a plan for arrangement and handling.
At the same time, notify departments, branches, units, People's Committees of communes/wards (new) about facilities and addresses that can continue to be used.
Guiding the People's Committees of communes/new wards to review the needs of their localities (in the fields of health, education, community service) to prioritize allocation.
For working equipment and cars, Lam Dong province assigned the Department of Finance to monitor, handle or immediately advise on handling surplus assets that are no longer needed or have been damaged and cannot be used according to regulations.
Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requests districts and cities to direct departments and offices to complete the consultation with the Chairman of the District People's Committee to issue decisions on transfer and handover of assets.
Previously, in early June, the Lam Dong Provincial Department of Finance submitted a document to the Provincial People's Committee on the plan to arrange working headquarters and accommodation for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers when implementing the plan to arrange provincial-level administrative units.
Lam Dong Provincial Department of Finance proposed that the Provincial People's Committee arrange accommodation for cadres of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of Binh Thuan and Dak Nong Provincial Party Committees at the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee's Office Area, and the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Office Guest House in Da Lat City.
For 2,599 cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers working in departments and branches, the Department of Finance proposed to arrange accommodation at 33 ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics' housing and dormitories in Da Lat city.
The Lam Dong Provincial Department of Finance also proposed a plan to arrange accommodation for staff to work in communes and wards outside Da Lat city at the guesthouses of the District Party Committee and People's Committees of the old districts and cities.
According to the policy of arranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels and building a model of organizing local government at 2 levels, Dak Nong, Binh Thuan and Lam Dong will merge into a new province called Lam Dong.
On June 12, the Resolution on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units in 2025 was approved by the National Assembly. The published administrative map shows that the whole country has 34 provinces, including 6 centrally-governed cities and 28 provinces.
The new Lam Dong province was formed based on the arrangement of the entire natural area and population of Dak Nong, Binh Thuan and Lam Dong provinces.
After the merger, Lam Dong province has a natural area of 24,233.07km2 and a population of 3.8 million people. Lam Dong province borders Dak Lak, Dong Nai, Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, Cambodia and the East Sea.
