Lao Cai announces support level for agricultural production damaged by natural disasters

Lao Cai - The People's Council of Lao Cai province has just issued Resolution No. 07 regulating the level of agricultural production support in areas affected by natural disasters and epidemics.

The Resolution stipulates the level of support for agricultural production to restore production in areas damaged by natural disasters and epidemics, contributing to helping people promptly stabilize their lives.

Support for crops

Rice: Damage to over 70% of the supported area is from 6 - 10 million VND/ha, depending on the growth period; damage from 30% to under 70% of the supported area is 3 - 5 million VND/ha. Forced area: Support 15 - 30 million VND/ha depending on the level of damage.

Other crop groups are also considered for corresponding support according to regulations.

Support for livestock farming

Poultry (including: chickens, ducks, geese, goosebumps, turkeys) are supported from 15,000 - 45,000 VND/child depending on the day; the support level for starlings is from 3,000 VND - 10,000 VND/child depending on the day.

Pigs: Support from 600 thousand - 1.5 million VND/ pig; domestically exploited domestic pigs and male pigs, support level of 4.5 million VND/ pig.

Buffalo, cow, horse: Support from 3 million - 7 million VND/child depending on the month of age. For star apple, the support level is from 6 million to 18 million VND/child depending on the month of age.

Honey bees: Support 500,000 VND/group.

The Resolution also stipulates the level of support for starlings, sheep, goats, reptiles, and rabbits.

In addition, livestock facilities affected by animal diseases are also supported to overcome animal diseases according to regulations, such as: buffalo, cow, horse 50,000 VND/kg of breath; pigs 40,000 VND/kg of breath; poultry 35,000 VND/kg of breath...

Support for aquaculture

Semi-intensive aquaculture: Support 60 million VND/ha of damaged area.

Raising aquatic products in rafts and cages: Support 30 million VND/100m3 of damaged cages.

aquaculture in other forms: Support 15 million VND/ha.

Statistics in Lao Cai province show that after storm No. 10, in the agricultural sector, the whole province has more than 2,500 hectares of rice; more than 900 hectares of corn and vegetables; more than 660 hectares of annual trees and 27 hectares of forestry trees damaged. In addition, more than 9,700 poultry died and more than 100 hectares of aquaculture were damaged.

Currently, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lao Cai province is coordinating with communes and wards to guide and support people to restore production and life.
