On the afternoon of December 6, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thanh Tuan - Deputy Head of Duc Tho District Police - said that the Investigation Agency of Duc Tho District Police had just arrested Pham Van Thao for trading in prohibited goods, seizing over 110kg of firecrackers.
Thao confessed that he bought the above fireworks from a subject in Dong Nai province for more than 40 million VND, then brought them back to Duc Tho to hide and sell for profit. Thao earned about 200,000 to 350,000 VND for each box of fireworks sold.
Currently, Duc Tho District Police are continuing to investigate and expand the case, completing the file to handle the subject according to the provisions of law.
