Male student was beaten by friend and had to be hospitalized

Quang Binh - An 11th grade male student at Tuyen Hoa High School (Tuyen Hoa district) was beaten by a friend until his eye was black and he had to be hospitalized.

On October 18, a photo and a clip of a male student being repeatedly beaten in the face and head by a classmate appeared on Facebook in Quang Binh. The photo quickly went viral, with many people expressing outrage at the act.

According to the investigation of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, the above image was recorded at Tuyen Hoa High School (Tuyen Hoa district, Quang Binh province).

On the same afternoon, Principal of Tuyen Hoa High School Ho Ngoc Phuong confirmed the above information with Lao Dong Newspaper.

According to Mr. Phuong, the incident happened at around 7:30 this morning (October 18), two students had a conflict with each other leading to a fight. Student T.P (class 11A1) beat student T.V.T (class 11A4).

After the incident, the school took stock of the situation and coordinated with the town police, homeroom teachers of the two classes, parents and students to come to work. In addition, the homeroom teacher and parents took T.V.T for a health check.

“The two families sat down together to discuss and analyze with the students. Next week, the school will assign the homeroom teacher to review the students in the class. After that, it will be presented to the school's disciplinary board,” said Mr. Phuong.

The principal of Tuyen Hoa High School emphasized that the school will monitor and understand the situation of the beaten student to determine disciplinary action next week. The school's viewpoint is to handle the matter strictly to educate the student.

Mr. Truong Van Giang (father of student T.V.T) said, we have brought the child to and is currently being treated at Tuyen Hoa District General Hospital (Quang Binh province).

Initially, T.V.T's eyes were black from being beaten and his vision was blurred, but the bones were not affected.

"We are currently monitoring T's health with the doctor," said Mr. Giang.
