On June 24, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province said that the grassroots race with the theme "Joining determination - For a drug-free community" will be held on the morning of June 29, 2025 at the Provincial Cultural Center, in coordination with the Provincial Police and related departments and branches.
Right after the opening ceremony, a large number of delegates, people and youth union members will participate in the 1km race, starting from the Provincial Cultural Center and ending at the gate of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee (Truong Thi Street, Vinh City).
At the same time, a cross-court race for professional and semi-professional athletes will be held on Le Nin Street, with two distances of 5km and 10km for both men and women. The Organizing Committee will award First, Second and Third prizes with certificates, commemorative medals and bonuses to individuals with achievements.
According to Director of Nghe An Province's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran Thi My Hanh, this sports activity aims to spread the message of a healthy lifestyle, raise public awareness, especially among young people, in preventing and fighting drug abuse, contributing to building a positive, civilized and safe living environment.
