Hung Yen woman fined 5 million VND for not declaring temporary residence to her husband

Hung Yen - Tan Tien Commune Police discovered a household that did not declare temporary residence to foreigners, and issued a fine of 5 million VND.

Implementing the Provincial Police Plan on peak periods of illegal entry and exit prevention, Tan Tien Commune Police have developed an implementation plan and achieved a number of important results. Through professional work, on August 21, the Commune Police discovered that there were foreigners residing in the area but did not declare temporary residence according to regulations.

The working group conducted an inspection of the management of residence and determined that at the household of Ms. D.T.D (born in 1972, residing in Bat Nao village, Tan Tien commune), Mr. Y.L.Q (born in 1963, Chinese nationality, husband of Ms. D) entered Vietnam through Mong Cai border gate (Quang Ninh) and stayed at Ms. D's house from July 19 to August 21 but did not declare temporary residence.

Based on the provisions of the law on foreign management, the Commune Police made a record, completed the file and issued a decision to administratively fine Ms. D.T.D 5 million VND for not declaring temporary residence to foreigners.

Through the incident, Tan Tien Commune Police requested people and accommodation establishments, including houses, to raise awareness of compliance with the Law on Residence and regulations on entry, exit, and residence of foreigners.

In the coming time, the Commune Police will continue to strengthen inspections and strictly handle violations of regulations on temporary residence and temporary absence, especially related to foreigners, to ensure security and order, and build a safe and civilized area.
