On the afternoon of October 30, a representative of the volunteer group "Challenge of Love porridge in Thanh Vinh" (Nghe An) said that the group members had just wrapped more than 1,000 gifts including drinking water, milk, fresh bread, instant noodles, dry food... to promptly transport to Hue to support people in flooded areas.
Before that, dozens of people in the volunteer group and the people stayed up all night together, sorted and wrapped each gift between the sky-high goods. The urgent but warm atmosphere.
The trucks with the words "Towards the Hue People" rolled in the rain, carrying the sharing heart of Nghe An people for the Central region.
According to the representative of Thanh Vinh Porridge and Love Group, all necessities are mobilized from voluntary contributions from individuals, businesses and benefactors in the province. "We just hope to contribute a little strength, share difficulties with people struggling in the flood" - a member said emotionally.
The Thanh Vinh Porridge and Love Group is one of the groups of charity groups operating persistently in Nghe An, gathering many members of the Provincial Red Cross Society.
Over the years, the group has maintained the cooking of hundreds of thousands of free bowls of porridge to give to disadvantaged patients in hospitals, and organized many relief programs to support the disadvantaged in the community.
